Dendra Chavez is a lifelong Alaskan, who loves the Alaskan landscape and lifestyle. As a child growing up in Rural Alaska, she enjoyed watching National Geographic specials with her father and was intrigued by the captivating imagery. She credits the exposure to National Geographic, along with the breathtaking beauty of Alaska, with planting the photography seed inside her.
She has honed her skill as a photographer, overcoming the challenges of location and lighting that Alaskan photographers so often face. Dendra passed on her love of photography to her daughter Hailey. Together, they strive to create a fun, unique experience for her clients, while capturing the perfect images that will last a lifetime. She is experienced in all forms of photography, specializing in weddings, families and high school seniors. Some of Dendra's work has been published in Alaska Bride and Groom Magazine.
