Dendra Chavez is a lifelong Alaskan, who loves the Alaskan landscape and lifestyle. As a child growing up in Rural Alaska, she enjoyed watching National Geographic specials with her father and was intrigued by the captivating imagery. She credits the exposure to National Geographic, along with the breathtaking beauty of Alaska, with planting the photography seed inside her.
She has honed her skill as a photographer over the past several years, overcoming the challenges of location and lighting that Alaskan photographers so often face. Dendra strives to create a fun, unique experience for her clients, while capturing the perfect images that will last a lifetime. She is experienced in all forms of photography, with an expertise in outdoor and location shoots. Some of Dendra’s work has been published in Alaska Bride and Groom Magazine. She is also a Professional Advisor in Photography at the King Career Center in Anchorage.
Dendra is a self-taught photographer located in Anchorage, Alaska. She lives with her husband of 14 years, their two beautiful teenagers and spunky dog, Rusty. She also works full time as a Manager at Southcentral Foundation in the Finance Division.
